What exercise is YOUR meditation?
Whether you love yoga, running, soccer, Crossfit, or anything in between, one of the best ways we can stay connected with ourselves is through exercise.
Having that time to fully engross in something active can mean the difference between feeling completely lost in life, and feeling deeply connected to our core being.
That exercise is our meditation; it’s our way of connecting to the world; and, it’s our way of feeling strong.

So what happens when that activity you love gets ripped away from you?
What happens if injury, incontinence, or complete exhaustion create a mountain of challenges to returning to that activity you love?
What happens when a global pandemic ends childcare at your local Barre studio or gym?
What happens when the medicine you’ve been prescribed makes your body feel bloated and achy?
Sometimes the activity you love seems so far away, the challenge of getting there can seem insurmountable.
Sometimes, it’s so overwhelming, that we don’t even know where to begin.
Sometimes, the many things we can’t control at that moment overshadow the many parts of our lives that we can [sort of] control.
Whether you’re a parent without childcare help, an elite athlete recovering from ACL surgery, or someone trying to figure out wellness after menopause, one of the most powerful reminders can be to “control the controllables,” and let go of all the other stuff.

Try to tap into what you CAN work on right now.
Can you improve your hip internal rotation so that you're setting yourself up for success when you're back to running?
Can you do a set of pelvic floor activations while nursing your newborn?
Can you work on 360 degree diaphragmatic breathing while you recover from surgery?
There are times in our lives that we train for marathons, there are times we set personal records at the gym, and there are times we unite with our fellow yogis at class every morning; but, if this isn’t that time, what is something that you can commit to today?
